I hope she dies

I couldn't finish it, that's how bad it was. The writing is so choppy, cheesy, and crappy. There are little to no details, uneven characterization and her writing remorselessly brutalizes any kind of semblance of storytelling. What book am I referring to? Which authoress am I talking about?
Take a wild fucking guessI couldn't even get to page 100, ( Read more... )

I just started the 6th book tonight, about 100 pages into it. I think the 5th book has been my least favorite so far. It's been about 2 months since I read the 5th one. Site some examples, I'm curious.

I dont have the copy with me anymore as I was only borrowing it so I could find out what happens after the movie, but a lot of her scenes could use more descriptive text and less forced humor. People I know who love those books cite how they get better, but from what I've read they just become more self-indulgent. I hated the first book too, but not as much as the 5th - I at least nearly finished the 1st book.

Yea I was not a big fan of the 5th book myself. They just are getting much darker. The 6th only continues with this trend.

If only there was some sort of way of cutting through the crap and into the real substance of the story... perhaps using images to better clarify her already spotty imagery... Maybe even have those pictures move and talk... some sort of motion picture...

Yes, a brilliant idea. Perhaps they could even hire people to pretend to be the characters, and create animated versions of the more fantastical elements. Computer technology could be used to enhance some of the more unrealistic elements, images generated by computer telemetry.

Nah, it'll never happen.
