I vote for both toast and brains. Toast, as I can sympathize a little as I've developed a little cold today. And brains, as they are BRAINS!!!! So - perhaps toasted brains?

I was thinking brains because I feel rather zombyish, but toasting them dries them out too much! Maybe brain jelly on toast?

I'm happy to see you, I was wondering how you were! And a new dog! Very exciting, though I hope she sweetens up on Dax soon, geeze. Where did you get her? Is she a rescue? (I'm presuming, since you said she was scrawny and skittish, two big clues)

I haven't seen Holmes yet either!!! *clings to you* I've missed so many movies this past year I wanted to see: HP6, Star Trek, Up, and now this. :P

Betty Crocker makes a pretty good mashed-potatoes-mix-inna-box... the best one (imho) is "Creamy Homestyle Butter"... you just heat up milk and water and stir in the magic potato powder. Easy. They sell it here near the stuffing mixes and such.

Surprisingly, she is not technically a rescue. Her (previous) owner is a breeder/show-dog person who works with rescues and who hooked us up with Dax (who is totally a rescue, seized by police and all). But Beth (the breeder) is terminally ill and hasn't been able to give her dogs (13 of them, at last count) the kind of attention and socialization they need, so we took this one. So I guess she is kind of a rescue? Apparently she had some sort of problem and surgery as a puppy that left her with a stapled undersized stomach and that's why she's small. She is getting better with Dax though. She gets a little possessive of the toys and I think that's what's triggered the fights so we're working on that ( ... )

Eep...I am not a fan of garlic with potatoes! Never have been.

I hope you feel better soon, Elly! And your husband, too! Hopefully you can get to the movies soon...

I need to go find something new on DVD to buy and watch, I haven't seen a movie in ages. I keep spending my mad money on Pyrex, though, lol.

Pet the new puppy-girl for me. She sounds rescued to me!
