Oliver Wood can fly my hot water heater up on his broomstick and drop it on the freakin' Whomping Willow. That would have helped with the first four. And in the hour since I've posted this, I've added the IRS to my shitlist, for not being able to figure out what my last year's e-file PIN is.

Anyway. How are doing hun? No more buggies bothering you? New place working out other than that? Sorry to hear about your dad, I know that sucks.

To be fair, I may have exaggerated slightly. The door is just cracked a couple inches so the drain hose can run out it, and I stuffed a folded up sheet in it so my heater wouldn't be running nonstop. But it is still open and unlocked and fairly unsecure feeling. /scary

Okay, so, the long story about the first four is my hot water heater broke a few days ago. Dude came and fiddled with it yesterday, we got warmish water that afternoon, then today it was cold again. Last night I'm sitting in the living room and I hear these little electrical noises, like when you flip a light switch really slowly and it kinda sizzles at you, but I ignore it because I'm an idiot. When Dude came back today to look at h.w.h., he opens up the sekrit wall panel and we see that the h.w.h. had black soot and melted plastic all around the electrical bits. And it's tucked away under my stairs, so if it had flamed up any more, my stairs would have burnt up first, and then I woulda been SOL up in my bedroom. So when I get money next week (hopefully!) I'm investing in one of those little roll-up fire ladders, because I'm all paranoid now. Even though after tomorrow I'll have a brand new water heater, so it'll be much less of an issue, but still. I also need to look into renters insurance. But now it's taking all night to drain
