So, any one ever seen anything like this? It's about 1 inch long. If you have friends or relations in Wisconsin, or anyone into 19th cent history, ask them to help. I'm trying to see if this can help prove that my Great-Great-Grandfather John E Lewis was from this part of Wisconsin, during the 1850's & 1860's. (There is a possible candidate family

Have you tried to look at the county history for this area of Wisconsin? If they were there in the 1850's there may be a better than average chance that they are recorded as early settlers...
