Politics has always played an insanely huge role in Eurovision, which is why I don't watch it. Why else is, for example, Israel a country that is allowed to participate. Israel is NOT in Europe, wtf! See? And they always pick out songs for political reasons. I believe once a song from Estonia (or was it Latvia?) won because they had parlamental elections coming up, and TATU were nominated because they put on a boob-and-ass-groping show, and so on. So I really don't think this year was any worse than the previous. It was still a dirty collusive contest. Always has been. Sadly.

Has, yeah. I just... haven't ever seen it quite>/i> that obviously... ;/
And I agree about Israel (and Turkey), I mean, WHY, but apparently they're in Eurovision because they're part of the European Broadcasting... something. Which just makes me ask; WHY are they in it? Turkey's itty-bitty part in Europe doesn't really count, and Israel? What the hell.

At the least, I felt and feel better after having written that post up there. xD;

Unfortunately, we have the Idol thing too. Though I don't watch that! xD

Oh, no, you're right; Israel is still in the Middle East, no one's rearranged the geography, no matter how they might want. They're just part of some thingy (see my prev. comment) which allows them to participate in the Eurovision (they probably paid lots of money. Hmph).
