My mom told me that my great granny (94 yrs. old) had a severe stroke about a week ago. No one told me when it happened because they didn't want to worry me, which I understood, but am glad they told me now. I know how hard it is to see a grandparent that you have been so close to become nothing like they used to be - especially in a drastic way. You're never really ready for what you see, even when others have prepared you. Just give her your love and if it's time for her to go, you will have said everything that needs to be said to her. Be thankful you have one last chance to see her and that she'll be cognizant enough to know you are there and comprehend what you are saying.
