wow i'm not really sure why but turkish people only seem to like turkey but they never live there. i might be biased since germany is full of guest workers from there since the end of the war but i guess turkey just does not have enough money to make them all satisfied or whatever. but it's quite helpful to talk with foreigners that have lived in the country for a longer time, because they know all the unpleasant things they had to deal with while living there. other people might have not had bad experiences as much (i can just imagine it's like in japan - if you're tall, blonde, a native english speaker and a model, everyone will make it as easy as possible for you xD).

but the best way to deal with a country is to find korean friends. you will soak up a lot of the culture and language and they most probably help you with things if you get in trouble. and you can return the favor if they ever visit your country.

I aim to be around Koreans as much as possible, because there's really no other way to experience the culture OR learn the language properly. And I'm pretty sure that one guy was bitching just to bitch, but I'm just keeping the other side of things in mind..
