Wedding!

Oct 11, 2008 12:27

So, I've finally got the wedding pictures. Lisa took about 1700 pictures, made a bunch of prints and made us little photo albums. She's amazing!

I uploaded all of the pictures of the resident LJ friends in attendance in case you want to snag them.

Pretty shot of the site!

Here's a shot of some of Matt's family wondering where the fuck we are:

This is when we realized our minister wasn't there:

Matt is pissed.

Never fear, Nick is here! And I fucking love the face Randy's making in the background.

Here's Nick getting ordained in the parking lot half an hour after the ceremony was supposed to start.

Here's us trying to understand the mildly psychotic text message we received from our ex-minister.

Dereck and Jimmy beat us down the aisle. Ah, forbidden love.

Nick's showing us his game face:

My dad walking me down the aisle:

Here's Nick doing his thing:

Reciting my vows. I think they went something like, "Well, this wedding has been one disaster after another, but you showed up, so that's cool."

Matt's vows. Matt actually blanked on his vows in all the chaos, so made up something on the spot.

It's over! Praise Jeebus!

We're sick of this shit. Let's go get drunk.

But first, a wardrobe change:

Apparently something funny happened.

See that girl in black? The one who clearly was present to watch me get married? About an hour into the reception, she asked me if we'd met. "...I'm the bride." "....OH."

Christina played "Here Comes Your Man" for me.

My first cigarette as a married woman.

Ree bought us a wicked cute snow globe.

The bathroom. I have no idea who left rolling papers on the shelf, but way to go you guys.

We had like 1,001 toasts in our honor. Boy was I hammered.

First up, Jimmy Cote. Jimmy Cote is awesome.

See how awesome Jimmy Cote is?

I don't even really remember who else toasted us. His parents, my parents, random people I don't know well, it's all good. I'm sick of captions, so have some toasty photo goodness.

Here's me posing with our cake.

This is Judie. She bakes cake. Together, we baked 16 cakes, some brownies, and I put together a couple of trifles with homemade whipped cream and sugared strawberries. Deliciousness abounds.

We smeared cake on Judie, because well, I paid good money for that face full of make up.

Cake toppers!

Cake!

Us cutting cake! Yay cake!

I'll get to pictures of the bands and the reception later because I'm tapped out. I'm leaving out pictures of family, etc because I figure you guys don't give a shit about people you don't know, right?

All in all, we had about fifty guests, tons of Mexican food, three bands and enough liquor to stock a bar. Pretty awesome night.
