Marriage is nothing but a binding legal contract and the only reason I would get married is to have that said contract for the sole purpose of health insurance and the fact that it just makes life easier. Having said that, marriage is based upon love and should not be based upon gender however it is based on gender because not only is it a legal

Right, but there are gay people who would want a marriage recognized by G-d right? And who would do it? Sure, you can find a Rabbi at CRC or a Priest at Christ Church Cathedral but it WON'T be recognized whereas those very same people could marry you and I and it WILL be recognized. It's still discrimination and American's are all about being politically correct therefore everyone would want their marriage to be the same as everyone else, no?

Yes, I guess that makes a lot of sense. People who are keen to obey both religious as well as the country's laws should perform both ceremonies.
Though this doesn't solve the problem of people wanting to be accepted by their congregations in the church or the synagogue etc. Some religious people will not stop thinking of gay people as evil.

Well some people cannot stop thinking of Muslims as terrorists or African-Americans as "jungle bunnies" or Jews as cheap. Just because some don't accept it, it doesn't really matter as long as you have acceptance within your own life. Who gives a shit about what others think, I don't.

I'm sure you don't care about other people's opinions, and neither do I.. but not all people are that way. Some people need real acceptance from all around to keep them at peace of mind.
