There was a simulcast of the Sigur Rós concert in Reykjavík today, but I was working. It was a major bummer. More lame than that, however, is the fact that I probably would have found it the awesomest thing ever, sitting in bed on my laptop watching Sigur Rós in Reykjavík live. They played the three songs on my life's live wishlist, too. Of course. There were like 40,000 people there. That's, like, over 13% of the entire population of Iceland. I'm so bummed.
I'm sure I had fifty billion things to say, and that fucking simulcast is the only thing I can remember. Maybe i'm just confusing all the things with things I have to do. It's a Monday. I'm useless, Mondays.
Oh... i've been toying around with travel plans for next year... i'll probably just take a short trip. The New York thing has been pushed back to May/June, or was it April/May? Either way, I figure i'll have enough money by that point to travel a bit without blowing my OE budget. So maybe i'll do Coachella. I don't want to do that though, i'd prefer to go to Iceland or something and just avoid mainland Europe because I really don't want to put myself in that big a boat with so little time, plus I think it would be hysterical to saunter on back to New Zealand having been to the absolute ends of the earth and pretty much nowhere else in between (except New York, of course). So what did you do over the break, Lauren? Oh, you know, I went to Iceland. Booyah.
