crystallekil - I don't know. She asked, I answered.
Jin was resting peacefully in the armchair, hands protectively laced over his big belly, eyes closed. Pi watched him a moment before reaching one hand down to trail lightly across Jin’s stomach. Jin smiled sleepily and looked up at him through half-closed eyes.
“Hey.”
“Hey.” He placed his hands on Jin’s belly and kneeled down to lean his cheek against it, listening carefully for the second heartbeat he knew was faintly beating just past Jin’s. Jin threaded his fingers gently through Pi’s curls and looked fondly down on him. Pi’s eyes were closed and a small wrinkle was between his eyes. “What are you doing, Tomo?” he asked, voice light.
“Listening to my heartbeats.”
“Don’t you mean my heartbeat?” Jin asked drowsily.
“No,” Pi insisted. “These are my heartbeats,” he said, placing one hand over Jin’s heart and pressing the other a little harder against Jin’s tummy. Jin thought Pi’s “hearts” might just burst and he smiled so wide it hurt a little.
breeitbe 's prompt - Yamapi makes NewS tshirts for Christmas presents. My first attempt at crack?
Yamapi has a certain fondness for gifting his friends with t-shirts, usually involving interesting namesquishes and/or questionable English phrases. NewS does not escape. This Christmas, Pi’s got ideas. He searches the internet meticulously for t-shirts he thinks will perfectly suit their wearers. He thinks about it during the day (would Ryo look better in red or white?) He thinks about it at night (where NewS members handily parade themselves in his presents and, somehow, it helps.) When he receives his various boxes from various locations in the world, he piles the shirts in their clear plastic wrapping and leaves them in the corner of his room for a while. Every now and then he’ll gaze at them and smile, thinking about how much pleasure his recipients will get out of them. Finally, he lays them all out, wraps and labels them and brings them with him to work to pass out.
“Don’t open them here,” he says. “But wear them tonight for the Christmas party.” They’d miraculously been able to plan a little six person get-together this year. Everyone would be there for at least an hour, that’s all their schedules had overlapped but at least it was something.
When Yamapi shows up to the party (he’s the one there for only an hour) the other NewS members are talking with perplexed (and, for Koyama, a bit embarrassed) faces. They’re all silent when they see him. “So?” he said excitedly. “Let’s see them!”
With varying degrees of hesitation, they remove their layers. And then Pi sees why. No one is wearing the right shirt. Explaining Koyama’s red face is easy now, and Pi isn’t surprised by the shuffling feet either when he sees that the man is wearing Ryo’s shirt which has a picture of an old NES game with the words, “Blow me” under it. Alternately, Ryo is looking a little miffed in Koyama’s shirt, its “I ♥ KoyaShige” obviously confusing him. Massu is wearing Tegoshi’s “Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me,” and looking quite perplexed. Whether it’s because he doesn’t know what the word means or because it seriously doesn’t apply to him in any way, shape or form, he doesn’t know for sure but he’s got a good guess. Massu’s shirt is on Shige, garishly rainbow-colored with a giant smiley and the words “if you’re gay” under it. Yamapi kind of snickered a bit at that. Tegoshi didn’t look so much uncomfortable as bewildered at the shirt he was wearing, Shige’s, which read, “Talk nerdy to me.”
He started laughing hysterically, and inexplicably (to them at least,) and took off his own jacket. His at least was right: I ♥ NewS. He’d fix the mix-up later, after a few beers had everyone a little more inclined to see the humor in the situation.
