For A's birthday, I decided to make a Jacob's ladder cake tray. The idea was to have a climbing arc in a lexan tube coming out of the center of the cake, sort of the ultimate birthday candle. Owing to difficulties obtaining an appropriate transformer, I couldn't pull this off in time, but I did get to show off a mockup, which the kid thought was
