I am so glad that she is alright. Praise the lord that your mum got it out! It seems that it was a very difficult task to perform... I am very glad S is safe. And I hope you can get that picture out of your mind. I know you must have been incredibly frightened. I hope you three(you,S,mum) feel better real soon!;)

oh hun that must have been terrifying....as much as you may feel spaced, if such a thing were to happen again, i have every confidence you'll be in a far better headspace to deal & react as you would like...like everything else in life, experience and exposure to a situation once can count for so much should it occur again....we never stop learning no matter how old we get, we just ignore what we're taught most times, however you're one of the few who doesn't seem to think that becoming an 'adult' = dismissal of humility and ignorance of how far we will always have left to grow...

*hugs* again....and breathe...

So glad she is OK now.

I would have froze as well. =( I keep kicking myself, saying I need to go take infant/child CPR but even if I knew how to do it, would I be able to??
