Tell it like it is
Hello. So, for the first time in, well, pretty much ever, I have advance warning of when I'm supposed to be in London, and have some actual time to spend there. I'm going to be in London next weekend (6th-8th Oct) for some boring-sounding Inns of Court thing. So...
(a) Is there anything fun I should be going to on Friday or Saturday? I have very little money, but it'd be nice to actually meet some of you.
...and a somewhat longer shot...
(b) Is there anyone out there who might be willing to let me sleep on their floor for a night or two? I am not a degenerate pervert axe murderer. Or failing that, can anyone recommend a cheap hotel or b&b or something that wasn't booked up six years ago? The best I can find is either in the £50 per night bracket, or waaaaay out in the outskirts; I need to be within tubing range of Chancery Lane.
