Holy Crud!

Wowzers, I just received the biggest box of American goodness a girl can hope to get! Well, at least one thats not full of friends and family, but that would be an uncomfortable journey... Michele sent me a giant box full of Christmas and Easter fun, including a Mets calendar (bitchin'), some fun art things and copious COPIOUS amounts of candy. ( Read more... )

I've found that yelling is really the only way to make some people listen. Sad but true.

...and then they wonder why people are yelling at them all day...

Honestly they should rename this university, it is not, in fact, the University of Greenwich, but more, the University of Can't Get Our Head Out of Our Ass and also We Hate Students (except their money, we like that)

Every school has at least one department that can't get out of its own way, at Pitt it was Admissions and Financial Aide, at UL it was Registration. Here it is every freaking department I am so going to go insane one of these days. But my course is lovely, hard, but lovely.

How are you?

Wow. Enjoy the candy. And have fin in Japan. Mom said that you should be home for Thanksgiving. I hope that is true, because so will I and Dan. Also good luck with your university issues. There are at least 15 different places in SUNY Oswego that can't seem to get out of their own way for the life of them. So they tend to send you to each other to add to the frustrations. Hope all is well. Good luck with your paper and such.

Also they forgot to tell me, as I am both a postgraduate student as well as a transfer student, that there are complicated procedures to be followed for handing crap in. One of my lecturer's explained to me that its all an issue of trust, you have to get a reciept when you hand something in because no one in England trusts each other, you have to have the PROOF. Well I didn't know how to do any of this, I was running around in a panic, my main lecturer is not at University on Fridays and no classmates were to be found. So, last resort, I ran up to my other lecturer's office (thankfully he was there and doesn't make fun of me too much for being retarded) as it turns out, I was simply looking in the wrong place for my barcode thing.

Sigh

Handed in though.

Yes I should be home for Thanksgiving, but prolly not Christmas, Barry wants to have it in Ireland, which will be nice. You should apply for a passport, there's a great long wait and you should come visit, England is totally awesome.

Need anything from Japan?

Wow that seems way more complicated than it ever needs to be. I'm glad that you got it figured out though.

Yeah, I figured that you would spend Christmas in Ireland, since Barry was in America for Christmas last year. That'll be nice for you guys though. I'm not really sure how we're doing the holidays yet, but we'll be at Mom's for Thanksgiving for sure.

And I know, I'm working on securing funds for a passport. I don't have the money to front for one at the moment. But I really want to come out there and visit.

I think I'm okay with things from Japan. But thank you. Have a good time over there.
