I'm not about to monster someone who doesn't want it :) You rock! So many adults wouldn't think to drop 'character' like that so as not to unintentionally scare or dismay those who didn't want to play.

And the explaining about not tripping was VERY well done. I've seen a lot of performers (my 2nd husband included) who didn't draw those boundaries well and got hounded by kids while performing. It's *really* important for kids to learn how to make and respect those boundaries.

Very well done, IMO; your parenting skills are really impressive.

Thanks. I do my share of screwing up as a parent, but I do put a LOT of thought and action into trying to be a damn good parent. A lot more than I did pre-divorce even and I thought I was a decent dad then.
