[Batou sets the communicator back down and reaches to stroke his broad hand down the outside of her thigh. The synthetic skin is warm, soft, and there's nothing robotic in his appreciation of it.]
If human self-awareness is the crack in the mirror, then robots, lacking ghosts, don't partake of that imperfection.
[Motoko rolls away slightly and props her head up on her hand so that she can look at his face. Not that she minds murmuring into the curve of his neck, but she has the feeling that would result in the discussion being cut short in favor of other activities.]
[Batou's low, baritone voice is amused, and when the Major pulls away he follows. His long, snow-white hair falls around his face as Batou settles between the Major's legs and starts to hoist them up around his waist.
Enough philosophy now.
He's got better ideas than the ones of dusty old Plotinus.]
