You do not know how to dance?

That’s right. I did not have time for lessons back home when I was an adult and when I did have time I was too young to enroll in the academy.

You know how to?

Such a pity...

Yes, I do actually. Would you like a teacher?

Yes, that would be nice, but I’m afraid I like anything to offer as payment to any teacher yet unless something is broken that I might be able to fix.

I'm puttin' all my eggs in one basket
and betting e'rything I got on you

Excuse me. Yes, that sounds consistent with the research we were doing.

Ah, that’s good.

After looking at the diagnostics you sent me, I noticed a detail that seemed to be a bit strange. I don’t know if my previous self mentioned this, but a shock from something without a known power source would probably be either organic electricity or electricity from an unconventional source. That’s a bit of a random thought, but I figured that it would not do any harm to share since it might affect how you build Cait.

…did I ever even mention what that is? It’s not a complicated thing, but it might not be something you’re familiar with.

We had a discussion about it... I've done a few experiments with the lightning materia I borrowed from my roommate to see how magical lightning affects the cat, although we hadn't decided entirely on the best way to insulate the chassis...

What what is, exactly?

…Materia?

What seemed to be working so far?

Organic electricity. It seems that it was part of a discussion that I don’t remember, though it is a rare enough thing that it is usually fairly safe to assume that type of electricity isn’t well known about.

Last time you were part of the city watch. I'm sure everyone would love to have you back there. You ah... actually disappeared in the middle of... I believe it was the backing up of the police network system?

That’s a definite possibility, and would certainly be less difficult to decide whether or not I’m qualified for it than most other jobs in the city. I doubt I am currently that unlike myself.

My previous self’s disappearance was extremely poorly timed, then. I hope it wasn’t too much of a hindrance…

People leave and return here without their memories all the time, sometimes the same as before, sometimes different. Usually not that different, however. If you're interested, you could drop by headquarters which is currently on the prison island or try contacting the current warden, Seras Victoria

Those things tend to happen quite a lot here. But I'm not quite sure how it went myself, as that's not really my division.

I’ll think about it. Speaking with the warden might be beneficial anyway to make sure that I remembered to leave enough inside hints to what I was working on that I didn’t shut the rest of the police force out of anything I was working on.

…I don’t know what to make of this being a common thing.

The last time you were here, you were head of Electronic Investigations for the police force here; I'm sure the Warden would be glad to have you back in that position if you so chose.

An important role… and one that would require familiarity with the city, though still worth consideration.

Warden?

Indeed.

Ms. Seras Victoria currently holds the position; the Warden oversees the police force, primarily.

You don't need to know how to, you just do.

A talking dog? I’ve never heard of one before…

You mean that dancing is instinctive?

Exactly! Just feel the beat of the music and follow it how you want to move.
