Record 013

I may not be cursed or I may be. Regardless, I'm going to insist on my personal space not being violated; especially in a manner involving being licked by strangers.

The model is complete, so I guess I can move on to the next project. Except something still doesn't seem right.

...the model?

Yes, I built an approximately scale model of the underground clockwork that's directly beneath the carousel. It's not perfect since my notes only included the outside of the machine, though it looks quite similar.

Are you interested in models?

....

Well, that's... impressive. You didn't try getting access to the inside of the machine, though?

Not... particularly, no. I was just curious.

Thanks.

...according to the notes, I did attempt to touch it and received a rather nasty shock before passing out for an unspecified amount of time and waking up next to the carousel. I'm afraid I cannot be more specific since the notes where written by a previous me- if that makes any semblance of sense.

Ah.

I second your opinion in regards to this curse.

If I may also inquire, what projects are you working on?

I hope there are others to continue the pattern.

My current projects are mostly related to my previous self's work of investigating the City and the curses. The next will be to compile and properly analyze all the data I have available about the curses instead of simply having the data on the same pages as the other notes from the same days. After that will probably be to figure out the workings of the fountain near the center of the City beyond that it "lies"- how it picks which lie and why if it only lies it also has shown what was true.

Well, I agree with your thoughts, if that counts for anything. The only good that can come out of this is the research in regards to City's curses and their affects on the general population.

Compelling. I didn't think someone here in the City would dedicate such time and resources to discovering the hidden secrets of this place. Forgive my curiosity, but as a scientist, this is all very interesting to me.

It counts for assisting my belief decency still exists in the City to continue to survive.

Perhaps this doesn't seem worthwhile to many; however, I feel like I would go mad or give into despair if I did not have something to occupy my time here. It's quite alright.

Are you working on something which may destroy the apartment?

Reply

electronicly May 22 2008, 04:55:26 UTC
The odds aren't zero that it might destroy at least the table. Unless things go horribly wrong the apartment is safe and the model has been on the table in my room without causing any harm for months. Plus, I intend to conduct any experiments either in a laboratory or outside, if proper equipment is available there. There's nothing to be concerned about.

The cats are licking my toes. Even the inatimate one. It's rather disturbing.

My model is close to done. I've been neglecting it recently, I apologize. Maybe we can get together to compare notes soon?

Quite. I'd advise staying inside; people are licking each other outside.

That sounds good.

You didn't, did you?

Licking each other -- No.

Didn't what?

No you're not shameful- Wait... you're a mod? I didn't know that. electronicly May 24 2008, 20:47:59 UTC
My thoughts exactly.

During the mirror curse, I was affected and could not control my actions or force myself to think the way I normally would. Out of a sort of bored curiosity about just what he'd do with them or at least to obtain them, my mirror self arranged a meeting with Sephiroth and mentioned that if he wanted detailed information about the City to get my previous self's notes from you. Considering the way mirrors work, he's probably as untrustworthy outside the mirror city as he was sincere-perhaps even kind- there.

You didn't hand the notes to him, did you? I have enough damage control to do to begin with, starting with reclaiming the notes if you did.
