[ So Li's been lurking around, more or less, since that experiment a few weeks ago. He... was not much of a fan of it (replacing Bai rubbed him the wrong way for some reason), and while he knew he had to figure out what his "family" knew about him, he also didn't feel like talking to most of them. He also hadn't seen many good opportunities to talk

[Bern is normally always up at night, not needing any sleep unless she feels like it, so she notices Li in the plaza as she goes to start her night shift at the library.]

I don't think you'll find much of anything using that.

[ Silently, though with a curious glance blah blah, Li looks up at her. ]

You mean the constellations, right?

Correct. You need to be at a higher point to see anything with a clear scope.

Is that what you meant? [ He pauses to give her a smile, it's a rather sheepish looking one at that. ]

I'm not really looking for anything specific or anything, so that doesn't bother me too much.

[Raven was on his way home from the bar, as usual, when he spots the strange man with the telescope in the plaza. He can't help but approach out of curiousity.]

Huh? It's not often ya see people stargazin' in a place like this. Wouldn't it be better up in the mountains?

[ Are fishy old men allowed to call other people "strange"? ... Eh, whatever. Li looks up slightly. ] Usually, because of the electricity. But I thought I'd try it here anyway.

That's what I thought. [He inspects the telescope, that's a pretty nice one!]

I never considered what kinda stars Luceti has, are there any constellation things ya recognize? Or is it all new?

[ He smiles at the "that's what I thought," but then his expression drops. Or... something along those lines, anyway. :) to :(, if you want to represent it via emoticons.

He sounds a little disappointed when he speaks. ] ... no. I haven't seen anything familiar, not yet anyway. [ He scratches the back of his neck and... stops leaning over the telescope. To get a better look at the old man. ] But I'm not really looking for that tonight anyway.

[Artemis is on his way back from a late night cup of coffee (even imprisoned, one has to indulge every so often) when he sees the telescope. Yes, he sees the telescope before the person using it. He's just that much of a stand-up boy.]

[Hands in his pockets, he walks over, curious as to where this beautiful piece of equipment came from. After staring at it for a moment, he looks up at where it's pointed.] Are you looking for something familiar, or charting the unknown?

[ What a guy! But to be fair, it's a nice telescope. As with pretty much every other tag ever, Li takes a break from looking through the telescope to look up at whoever's speaking.

He gives a faint smile. ] Neither. Right now, anyway. Tonight I'm just stargazing.

Ah. [Artemis tries one more time to locate something he's familiar with, but he's tried countless times. Wherever they are, it isn't the Earth he knows.]

Did you build it, or is it a lucky find? [He gestures to the telescope. Man, everyone else got such nice toys.]

Maybe a lucky find? I had one of these at home, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be mine or not. [ As he says this, Li turns his attention to the telescope. Whether it's his or not doesn't matter as much to him as it could, since it's still something he... enjoys. Genuinely so. ]

[HI LI. Tyria's going to stroll right up to your telescope without a word and look it over.

[ OH WOW RUDE MUCH?

okay sort of anyway. Li looks up at her, but he doesn't say anything. Is she trying to get a look at the telescope, or is she interested in looking through it...? ]

[She seems to be mostly interested in the telescope! ... And after a moment or two, she seems to realize it's in use. So, she'll take a step back and look at Li.]

Did you find this in a shop here?

[ He doesn't mind her admiring it. That's why he's quiet until she speaks. ]
