Other DoDDS schools, including at least one in England, are staying open.  ...  It just occurred to me that maybe the reason why LCHS switched from 7-12 to K-12 for its final year was that West Ruislip Elementary was already closed ... but I don't know.  -  I suppose "pop" in this sense means "popular/modern music", as opposed to older genres (classical).  The divisions between most of the modern music genres are all blurry for me anyway (which usually leaves me sounding somewhat silly on the rare occasions when I use those genre names).  -  I got email from Phelps on the 18th, but have yet to reply.  He's going to teach at Lakenheath next year and until his retirement in England.

Oh wow, would you mind sharing Mr. Phelps email address with me? :) I think it'd be nice to let him know that he inspired me enough in high school that I went on to major in Fine Arts and become a graphic designer....

It's thomas and then dot and then his last name and then at and then eu dot dodea dot edu :)

I've been procrastinating about writing him back because I don't have news anywhere near as good as yours to report in answer to his asking what I'm doing with my life.  I wanted the principal to give me his contact info, not to reveal to him that I was seeking contact.  I wanted just to hold on to his address so I could write him when I was ready.  Anyway, though, it's good to hear from him and I shall answer him.  I also want him to give me a non-business address so I don't have to worry about it not working through the summer, or when he switches schools or retires or whatever.

Thanks much!!
Yeah, I'm not really sure what to say to him myself. I'm not entirely sure he'd even remember me...
