Hi!!! Thank you so, so much for writing for me. I know I asked for some pretty unwritten-about dudes, so I'm thrilled that we matched! I care a lot about junior hockey but don't worry if you don't have the backstory, I'm just as happy with something set in the NHL.
Things I don't like: people who only care about their relationships, non-hockey aus, mcdavid/eichel; the usual not into misogyny, etc.
Things I like: worldbuilding! Team as family! People with sprawling support networks (MATCHMAKING esp if it is a background pairing), people coping with the realities of life not being like they thought it would be; finding agency in a space that disenfranchises you. Futurefic and canon divergence - magic realism, stories about people learning to move on from hockey, I'm pretty game as long as you preserve the essential truths of characters. I love stories with a great sense of place and time.

Nazem Kadri
I'm really interested in Naz this year! He's been doing so well and he's such an interesting dude- he's had to work so hard to get everything, and he's a Toronto boy on a Toronto team, and he's finally starting to come into his own. I love his backstory on the London Knights with John Tavares (ripping bongs while Tavares sat in the corner, etc), but I'm also a sucker for Leafs gen, so if you want to tell me about that I'd love it.
(Sidebar: if you wanna hook Naz up, I'd prefer Lupul, or Drake but don't feel any pressure.)
Ryan Strome
I am somehow very fond of Ryan Strome and it's a little unfortunate. He seems like a great brother and a really cute disaster and if you wanna tell me about his time hanging out on the IceDogs I would 100% be down! However I am also ride or die for his relationship with his baby brothers (Ryan Strome meddling in Strome/Marner, put me on a pyre) or how fucking ridiculous it must have been for JT to adopt him, basically. Roommate shenanigans! Rookie year stress! Rookie year plus your dumb baby brothers! Any and all of it. (If you like magic and want to throw some of that in, please feel free.)

Kyle Dubas
The Leafs front office this year is fascinating to me, with Kyle probably at the centre of it. He's such a smart and young dude, with such a rapid rise - if you wanna tell me about analytics and the Soo Greyhounds, that would be rad. But this dude coming home to this god-awful and also like iconic team is really cool to me - the way the culture must be changing, the way the guys on the team interact with the front office, the way Kyle is like, severely the baby in the room - I love teams as family, I love teams against the world, I would love to know about Kyle Dubas, Toronto wunderkind.
Vincent Lecavalier
Can you please just make Vincent Lecavalier happy? This dude breaks my heart. I really like his friend/relationship with Brad Richards, from Notre Dame to Rimouski to Tampa, and forever on. I would love something set in the present or future where Vinny gets to just hang out with people who love him and not be sad? I'd be really happy with futurefic here, Vinny moving forward, getting better.
