Day 30 - Whatever tickles your fancy

Jun 30, 2010 21:30

Well, it's the last day of the 30 day challenge and I did all the posts. I may not have done all of them on the day I was supposed to, but I got them done XD. Some of them I felt rather silly doing though because I didn't have to terribly much to say about them. It was kinda fun having a topic to write about from time to time though. お疲れ様でした!まだ頑張ってください。マーサちゃんのポストを読むことが好きです。

I realized I don't really have plans for the 4th either, though I'm really hoping I'll be well enough to go back to work, as Holiday Pay would really help my having been off work for so long lately.

I am, but that's the thing - no work no pay. Lately, that means no pay.

I love all the mystery around "the boy." XD It always sounds so mysterious when you talk about this person. I hope you find some awesomeness to do on the 4th and that you have a great time! :3

XD I didn't even think about that. I just didn't see much point in using his name since I don't think anyone who reads my journal knows his name and with "the boy" I thought it was pretty clear I meant boyfriend, but I guess I've just gotten too used to the way I speak and need to remember it's not "normal" XD Most of my friends say if they ever ran into any of my students from Japan that they would be able to tell from the way they speak English lol.

Hope you have a good 4th too ^_^

Lol; I don't think it's not normal; I think it's actually a cute way to describe him! Of course I figured you meant boyfriend. XD I couldn't stop laughing when my grandmother kept referring to my boyfriend as merely my "friend." I guess that's how people in her day referred to their beaus but it somehow cracked me up and I couldn't stop giggling when she said it. I would actually love to hear how your students speak English! :D

Thanks! :3
