Hey, how is everyone? I hope you’re well. Sorry for the silence, but I was not really into blogging for a while, and feel that maybe I should get back in to it. I know I said that before, but maybe here’s for trying again? While away, I got pulled into some role playing, and it was fun, but lately it’s been losing its luster for me, however, I still enjoy writing, just not as a fictional character. It was a nice form of escapism, but not the kind of escapism for me. I think I kind of realized this now. I miss getting into new fandoms like I used to, but nothing’s been catching my attention as of late.
Work has had its up and downs. I was ready to give up back in November/December, but snapped out of it, thank God! I hated myself for wanting to give up, but I got my motivation back, and am so happy to have gotten it. It’s not a perfect job, or my dream job, but it’s nice despite the stress there is at times. I’ve gotten sick quite a few times because of stress, but lately, I’ve been handling it better and getting stronger. I’ve learned quite a few things from trial and error, made mistakes like crazy, but I’m learning. I’ve been growing stronger as a person thanks to this job, and it’s been quite amazing. I help manage anesthesia, and also help out a little bit with radiology and emergency medicine. Yep!
I started attending a small group and they have been nothing but amazing for me. It’s a single’s group from my church, so it’s really nice to have a group of people around my age, who are single to talk about the bible and God with. It’s been very insightful and the people of this group are so amazing. I love that they don’t pull their punches and don’t give a shit on what people call politically correct. Seriously, it’s nice to have a church group who isn’t all fake and ALL SMILES and crap. We talk about anything and everything, from how we observe people, to problems with our lives. They’re the first people who saw through the wall I put up. I’m appreciative of them and they’ve made me very, very happy!
I really haven’t watched anything new lately, except Mirai Nikki and Guilty Crown. I’ve been enjoying both of those series. I’ve also watched the Persona 4 animation, but not entirely too thrilled by it. Just watching it, just because.
I do have quite a few video games on my queue right now, though! My little brother is grounded from video games for the rest of the school year, so for the moment, I have his Wii! I bought Zelda - Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess, so I plan on playing those. I also am playing Tales of Graces f. Oh, and I bought a PSVita! It’s an amazing little thing and I can’t wait for more things to come out on it!
And for the Vita, I imported Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die, which is going to be localized as Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. For those of you tilting your head, going “What’s that?”, this game is the sequel to 999: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors (which has been officially renamed Zero Escape: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors since it’s now part of a franchise! Also, there has been confirmation they’re working on a third game!!!!)
This game is truly amazing and definitely worked out the problems that 999 had. There’s 24 endings (no, I’m not kidding) and I have been having a BLAST getting them. This game actually plays on the game theory concept “prisoner’s dilemma”. Each person starts off with 3 “bangle points”. Of the nine players, there are 3 pairs and 3 solos. A pair is matched with a solo (so three people in total) and they will go to an escape room, where they get to know each other while solving those damn puzzles that made you want to shoot yourself (but they’re still super fun!). After that, they will be involved in what is called the “Ambidex Game” where the pair will be forced to either “cooperate with” or “betray” the solo they were with in the room. The solo will also be forced to make the same decision with the pair. If they both chose cooperate, they gain 2 bangle points. If they both betray each other, no points are gained. If one cooperates and the other betrays, the cooperate loses two points and the betray gains three points. If someone’s BP goes to zero or lower, they will be given a lethal injection that is in their watches. If someone’s BP is 9 or higher, they can escape through door 9. But door 9 will only be opened once. Once it opens and closes, the game is over.
Also, this game is brought to you by large bombs.
Don’t know who Zero is yet, but Akane, our Zero from 999, is involved in this game. Cradle has been mentioned, and Alice is in this game. Clover has also made a return and is stuck playing her third nonary game. Pretty sure she thinks fate is out to get her by this point.
The nine players are Phi, Sigma, Luna, Dio, Quark, Tenmyoji, Alice, K, and Clover. From what little Japanese I know and what I’ve played, K is another Sigma, and K says Akane is his mother (?!?!?!!?!), Luna is a robot who was created by Akane (which is probably why Luna has such a resemblance to Akane), Alice was involved with Cradle Pharmaceuticals and kind of got stuck within the planning of the second nonary game (I think), which is why she’s found hitchhiking for a ride at the end. Dio is a part of a terrorist organization known as “Left” and wasn’t supposed to be a player in this game. He also kills Akane, who was supposed to be a player. Quark is some kid with a virus that makes you go insane and kill things. Alice has it, too. Sigma has cybernetic arms, so the one not game over ending he gets injected, he lives because his arms are robotic.
It’s a pretty insane game! I love it!
