[Oh, shit. This was more like it. Karis can deal with horrible, monstrous things, as long as she's got her armor on and her axe in her hands. She grins - widely - and raises her battle axe. Sure, they're small, flighty birds, but they can't be harder than gnomes.

[Yes, yes they can.

The cardinals are unnaturally sturdy and they dive and determinedly attack the passengers with a swiftness that is abnormal for regular birds.]

[The crew aren't the only ones to freeze when the bird makes its appearance. Kevas recognizes it in a heartbeat, and before he knows it everything is going to hell. At least he's armed, but he's not going to bother trying hit a bunch of damn birds with a couple of swords. No right now Kevas is concentrating on getting everyone he can get his hands on out alive.]

[His intentions are good, but just because Kevas isn't killing the birds doesn't mean that they aren't after him anymore. A cardinal dives in Kevas' direction, trying to get past his guard to his belly.]

[Kevas isn't so sure these are cardinals. These bloodthirsty things must be squirrels in disguise...flying squirrels. Only they are so vicious.

Of course what they are doesn't really matter right now. What matters is the bird dive bombing towards him. Kevas raises his swords and waits for it to come within range before swinging his swords and trying to cut the little bastard in half.]

[Alice had been staring at the events unfolding in front of her with some sort of fascinated horror, hands pressed very firmly to her lips as her knuckles turned white from clenched fists.

But then there was the hilt of a blade in her hands, the smooth sheen of pearly, iridescent gems on the polished metal glinting in the light. A little delighted gasp escapes her lips, and she holds out the Vorpal sword, twirling it experimentally before slashing it once through the air as she starts to head towards the door.

[The twirling sword catches what dim light there is in the fake graveyard and draws the attention of several birds. They zero in on Alice with eerie screams and dive to attack her.]

[Alice's main thought is GET TO THE EXIT, though it certainly seems that these little scoundrels intend otherwise.

Not one to be deterred, she takes flight, trying her best to ignore those shrieks as she slashes at them with her blade.]

Usually this would be a nightmare and he'd wake up the whole neighborhood hollering, safe in bed and sweating like a horse. Patrick throws himself to the ground and snatches up the metal service tray, swinging it to ward away the masses and trying not to hyperventilate. Grapple. Where's Grapple?]

[What the hell is that guy doing!? He's more likely to hit one of the passengers swinging that tray like that. Kevas moves in, ducking one of his wild swings, and grabs his arm.]

[Two birds fly toward Patrick from opposite directions. One screams to draw his attention while the other dives toward his side.]

[She's here! Decked out in a light armoured bodysuit and holding a pretty advanced looking revolver in her hand. She ducks to crouch beside Patrick, thankfully dodging the swinging tray and firing shots at the birds over his head.]

Hey! You alright?

[This is not a good time for a freak out Patty.]

[WHOA.

Anna shifts immediately at what she sees going on, and to her surprise - the costume tears away, leaving a very angry, very pissed off looking tiger.

Whoever she is talking to is immediately shoved towards the door with a back foot, and with her hackles raised she gets ready to defend.]

[The tiger catches the notice of a few cardinals and they swarm around her head, dizzying as they fly and try to sneak in attacks past her guard.]
