The Coup ~third descent~

This deck is industrial. Industrial piping runs overhead and footsteps echo as the passengers move forward. Doors line the corridor walls, and entering the chambers reveals racks and racks of metal jars in orderly rows ( Read more... )

Lily is, surprisingly, at peace when she sees the jars. Body parts, yay. Not important. She'll let the others worry about that. Lily follows the deck down through the door and up the metal stairs. It's dark. It's scary. But Lily is the littlest explorer, and she must forge onward.

The lights aren't switched on until Lily's at the top of the stairs.

Bodies.

Lily stares.

"Zeeeeeeeshat."

One floats by, hair waving like kelp.

Lucky for her, Lily has no idea what kelp is. Or maybe that's bad?

Lily races down the stairs and back to the jars. Eyes, hands, toes, whatever. Lily grabs a jar (what a lovely... internal organ) and takes the stairs up two at a time. She sits on the edge, feet dangling above the blue goo, and slowly drops the jar inside.

Just, you know, checking before she takes a swim.

BLORP!

The jar plops into the water and then slowly starts to sink down. It looks like that blue liquid is about as thick as syrup!

Well this deck looks more informative. Much better than the bird deck, at least... Or she thinks so until she walks into one of the chambers and notices what the labels for the jars say. Holy mother of God are those body parts? Mimmi backs away from the shelves quickly, feeling faintly nauseated. Can they leave the deck now? Please?

This wasn't the 'interesting' he wanted. The fish will give a small 'Wait here' motion to Mimmi, before starting to walk ahead himself.

Silently, slowly, Jeremiah will make his way into the back entrance until he goes cold. Bodies weren't a new concept to him, but the idea of them,..floating like that were. The fish sighs.

One of the bodies gently drifts into the glass. It's a young, teenaged male. He has horns growing out of his head and his fingers boast long talons. He drifts back into the gloomy tank.

"That's awesome."

A tone of sarcasm as he leans forward to touch the glass. Jeremiah is interested, but more so for the body's well being than for any threat or danger. Horns, talons..That was until the body floated away.

"..old 'passengers'?"

"Gooood morning," Lilith mutters. The only sign of her being disturbed at all is her arched brow, but other than that, she isn't too ruffled. These bodies are still in one piece, and that is more than many poor souls on Pandora could boast.

She doesn't give a damn about them, either.

With no hesitation, her boots clunk onward, circling the luminous tank.

The bodies float on, and the viscous blue liquid laps at the sides of the tank.

There is nothing that Lilith can't Phase through, or at least that has been her experience up to date. Comfortable in the knowledge that even if it does not go according to brilliant plan she'll be safe, Lilith slips into her second-favorite dimension and tries walking into the tank's depths.

It's like walking into wet cement. Lillith can phase through the clear sides of the tank, but the instant she encounters the blue liquid it becomes harder and harder to walk until she can no longer continue on.

She did make it a whopping half foot into the tank, though! That's not bad!

... Okay, staying far away from those jars. That's sick as hell. Gideon's seen actual gore before, but never to the extent of various body parts all bottled up like this.

He opts for the tank instead, which is... really, not that much better of an alternative. Steeling away his discomfort, he looks into the tanks and tries to identify any of the bodies. His heart is pounding. Please, don't let it be them...

There's no one Gideon would recognize from his homeworld in the tanks, what a relief!

It is a ridiculously large relief, evidenced by his loud sigh as he kneels and rubs his forehead. Then he peers back up at the bodies. He's never seen a suspension tank like this before and can only guess as to what it's being used for.

Eventually, for lack of knowledge of anything else to do, he starts ascending the stairs to see if there's anything of interest up there.

A figure flits up the stairs ahead of Gideon.

Jane makes her way to the tank and taps loudly on the glass.

"WAKE UP FISHIE WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING!!!???"

No response. They're all asleep in there it looks like! They don't even move their eyes to see what's whacking on the side of their tank.

Jane crosses her arms in front of her chest.

"When do we get to kill shit?"

Are you talking to the tank?

It bubbles.
