This is a VERY good recipe, and how I start my chicken soup.

Yeah. The goal is to make chicken noodle soup today.

the combined effort, chicken/lemon lentil soup was quite good.. based loosely on your comment's during the gifting..

-lentils soaked and cooked with veggie bullion
-pan heated with wine and oil (he already did that before i had the chance to advise, so it was a bit poppy and spattery) garlic, cumin, oregano, chicken was browned and left to sweat.
-a lemon peeled and diced, and a dash of chile/sesame oil in the broth,
-pan full of cooked chicken/herbs/and juices mixed in.
-cooked it for a bit,

it was very good!.

I'm so glad it came out well. I realized when I read my recipe that I'd misrepresented my recipe.

1. It says to *cook* the chicken for 20 minutes, not let it sit (as I'd said)
2. The pan drippings I had were *very* greasy, and so my recipe calls for the grease to be poured out (step 4).

our chicken as fairly lean, and pvck cut off some more fo the fat from the boneless chicken breasts, so while there was some oil it as not greasy. made it taste like a very good lemon lental version of good chicken noodle soup..

Our bay leaves are so old and so pale, I'm not sure it really makes a difference.
