I too, thought about the 700lb lady on the TLC special when
I read this entry. I was seriously considering the surgery n'
then decided to go back n' finish college instead. Well I am
now getting ready to graduate college in June and am considering this again. I saw the TLC show a couple months back and got scared. Friends I talked to about this told me
the same thing you said...her hole was prob. bc she was so
big. I am 300lbs. I am still scared but I keep thinking it
has to be worth it...for my health n' future.
Even though this is a "gross story" comm. Thank You
for this one!! =)

I actually took the year off of school (I was supposed to start freshman yr of college) for my gastric bypass surgery. It's definitely a scary situation but.... If you realy want this surgery you've got to be dedicated to a lifestyle change. I really wasn't expecting any complications. I was a otherwise very healthy 18 year old girl who just happened to weigh 294 lbs, and then all this terrible stuff happened. It put me through a great depression but now that I look back on it, now that I'm not in so much physical pain it was a good decision.
