[The video seems to catch The Republic of Austria in mid-conversation with somethingone leaving his room. Austria can be seen clearly, in the same attire he wears every day, holding his invitation. I see nothing wrong with someone remembering the finer treatment in life.

Neither do I, however, the nature of the events before this one have been less than pleasant, so suddenly having finer treatment, as you put it is a bit...unsettling.

However, I will not complain about having been treated well.

Is that so? Perhaps it is compensation, then.

Of course not. It should be expected, really.

Perhaps. We certainly deserve some compensation, I would imagine.

But of course.

[Hungary is wearing this dress, and looking oddly regal]

Is this English architecture? Perhaps the United Kingdom would know of it then, but I am also reminded of Vienna and Budapest, in our kingdom days.

My dear Republic of Austria, are you sure this ball will be entirely safe? The surroundings are lovely, but I fear letting my guard down during these events.

This is true. I remember our kingdom days well. There are many countries whom had castles, so truthfully it could be many of us. The
United Kingdom simply came to mind first.

I'm not certain in even the slightest. I don't entirely trust it; however, if we keep our guard up I do not see why we could not enjoy such an event.

And considering this world is based on one of his stories, it's a logical conclusion to make.

I suppose we should try it? There has not been much fun to be found here.

Indeed. So then, The Republic of Hungary, would you do me the honor of accompanying me to the ball?

While it is quite a throwback to the Gothic Revival, it certainly isn't anything from my home.

And really, would you consider me a minger? That's what the clue referred to, after all.

Reply

elegantvirtuoso October 26 2009, 04:14:53 UTC
Given that I've no idea what a minger is, I suppose I would not?

It was worth inquiring about at the least. It must be an event from another person's home then.

A very ugly, brutish sort of chap.

It's been pleasant so far, at the very least. No doubt it will take a turn for the worse soon.

Ah. Then no, I suppose that is not a suitable description of you.

It seems that way. These events never seem to remain pleasant for very long.

Hm. Of course, there is some logic in it. Normally, butlers and maids are quite expensive, so to be offered services for no cost at all is almost too good to be believed. Regardless, I do prefer to do most things on my own. That, I'm sure you would not understand, République d’Autriche.

On the contrary, there are many things I enjoy and prefer doing on my own, İsviçre Konfederasyonu. it is simply odd for a mansion of this size to be so well-kept without servants about. Then again, this is a very odd place to begin with.

It comes of no surprise that you'd find the concept of a ball enjoyable, Republic of Austria.

But of course. It is not often such a pleasurable gala occurs in this mansion. I see no reason not to look forward to it, aside from the suspicious nature of these invitations.

'Suspicious' is certainly an appropriate word.

Hopefully the mansion won't try to interfere with it somehow.
