[WHERE] Jim and Spock's flat
[ABOUT] Uhura and Spock do a mind meld to try and help Spock with his musical affliction. Jim observes and worries.

This is a bad idea. A really, really bad idea. That was all Jim could think as he paced back and forth in the small one-room apartment he shared with Spock. But both Spock and Uhura were insistent about at least trying this really, really bad idea. And Jim had to admit that it was the least dangerous of all the ideas they'd come up with so far. That didn't really make him feel any better about it, though.
He'd done the best he could to just go with it, to avoid thinking about the issue so he didn't irrationally (and irresponsibly) whip out the Captain card and tell them they couldn't do it. The fact that Uhura was supposed to be there any minute wasn't exactly helping the extreme feeling of apprehension. How his last musical experience ended up really wasn't helping either.
But all he could really do was pace back and forth, chewing on his nails and waiting for Uhura to come over.
