::There is a strange and eerie crackling noise as the TV show comes on, broadcast to every Tone at exactly midnight - marked by the toll of the bell tower. Though clearly in color, the TV program has an old cheesy feel about it. Its setting is a fairly stereotypical mad scientist laboratory, complete with several counters with interesting colored bubbling liquids in beakers and bottles. Various devices crackle with electricity, though all of this setup has a distinct prop-quality to it, as if the room is not meant to seem like an actual functioning laboratory.
At first, this odd stage is empty, orange and purple and pink liquids bubbling ominously. Then a figure in long white lab coat appears, the too-long arms of the coat hanging down past his hands, obscuring them. Delicate features are clear beneath the distinctive indigo hat. Yellow eyes though, not dark purplish-black look out of the princely face. The Detective Prince smiles eagerly at the Tone he is broadcasting from, the look utterly out of place on his normally serious features.
When he speaks, his voice is dark and arrogant, the sort found in late night show hosts for science fiction movies. The effect is somewhat laughable.. as if the youth is playing at being a man when his throat isn't capable of it.::
Good evening everyone! It is time once again for Naoto Shirogane to offer his mind and body for the sake of educating the masses! With the failure of the Human Genome project, I have found myself necessitating research into the supernatural powers of Elegy City. Perhaps here, in its unplumbed mystical depths, I can find the alteration I desire! I hope all of you will joyously witness with me, this glorious rebirth I hope to accomplish!
::He smiles, almost leering, at the Tone before him.::
But...to accomplish this most wonderful task, I require the earnest responses of you, my most valued viewers! Please, do not hesitate to call in with the melodies you have come across, particularly those you have not yet had a chance to try. I, as both experimenter and experimentee, will for the sake of science attempt these songs on my own body to see the result they produce! Join me in uncovering the Mystery of the Century!
