Wow, this list makes me incredibly jealous. As a child & teenager I read like there was no tomorrow, but the last few years it's become that thing I *wish* I had time to do... as I turn the TV on.

Any recommendations for someone just getting back into reading? I love all sorts of genres. I'm looking for something that sucks you in right away, at least until I tame my now short attention span.

And thanks for posting your list! I'm all about lists, all the time. This year, I may even do what I write. :D

Well anything with 2 stars generally sucked me in right away.

I like romances so the Victoria Dahl and Kristan Higgins are good for contemporaries. Julia Quinn writes good historicals and her Bridgerton series is a good starting point. Georgette Heyer is good for classic romances where you might get a fade to black kiss.

Loretta Chase is a must read for romance novels. Start with Lord of Scoundrels or The Last Hellion if you can because I think those are the best.

I like the mysteries by C.S. Harris, Tasha Alexander, and Arianna Franklin.
