Having worked as a teacher for years (although not with autistic kids) I really love how you expressed Blaine's classroom experience in this chapter! It was really nice to see, and easy to relate to, at least for me. And I really love seeing Kurt slowly open up to Jamie!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad that the story has resonated with you on a personal level and that it was realistic enough to relate to (: It's always a thrill when you get to connect with a kid, even in the smallest ways possible like a simple acknowledgement (:

Wow, thank you! I'm so glad you gave this fic a chance and that you thought it was realistic and heartfelt (: Having to supervise and entertain ten autistic boys at a birthday pool party must have been quite an experience, props to you! And yes, I always thought special needs educators, therapists and just ordinary people who help out (like yourself!) with both autistic children and adults deserved way more credit than they get.

Kurt and Blaine have an unusual relationship in the first place; a surprisingly confident relationship in the midst of a town so unsupportive that it's almost threatening. I'd like to think they have a very mature perspective about their relationship so over the past two years, they've never really had to deal with undercurrents of unhappiness, but Jamie's presence surfaces all the niggling worries and insecurities, and so that's where conflict arises.

Enough of my rambling; I hope you continue to enjoy this fic and see where those baby steps lead them to! (:
