i read the article in the latest rolling stone on what took place at the abu ghraib prison. the book i'm reading now, 'scribbling the cat-travels with an african soldier' is also really sad. i don't know if i would want to live in a world where we all understood one another..i don't think we would learn or grow in a one hundred percent perfect world.. without pain there would be no compassion, eh? the human cruelty i am talking about requires no understanding..it's just plain evil. cruelty and torture and punishment for the sake of AMUSEMENT. there can be no understanding that. i do agree with you though as far as people understanding one another when it comes to world affairs..everything is so damned complicated though.
