Hi. Name's Tali and I'm 18, currently sitting in a hospital room,two days after having the j pouch operation. I know you were planning on getting one and let me tell you it will be the greatest thing you'll ever do. i feel like a completely new person, just so much healthier and happier (despite incision pains!) Hi! glad to hear you feel better ... i feel ya on the incision pain, man, that kept me in bed for 2 days before i could get up the first time around. yup, im getting the jpouch.. hopefully in a month or two. please let me know how your recovery is going. you're added to my list. with all the pain meds they're probably giving you im surprised you type so coherently... !!! :)

Hi!

So I'm still in the hospital but probably going home on friday and really excited for that! It's weird I hardly remember typing that first comment to you - I really was pretty doped up, hah. The recovery is going better now, the pain is much more tolerable only all the narcotics are making me kinda woozy so I can't wait til I don't need to take them anymore. I hope you don't mind my asking but it sounds like you did the three stage operation - was that by choice?

Nope! Emergency colon resection, ileostomy. Totally sucked. UC hit out of no where and was in the hospital for a few weeks on IV drugs, TPN feeding line, and no food. Went home for a day, returned in an ambulance. They took the wretched thing out and gave me a bag and sent me on my way. I'm getting the second stage, j-pouch formation, this month most likely!!! (10 months later). Sweet.

One thing I am not looking forward to is that feeling you get when you first wake up, then the realization of PAAAIIINNN!!!!. !!! :O

Has the box been checked on the comm's info so that search engines wont index it? I can see good things about that, but I'm trying to find a comment I made to copy&paste to someone in the comm, and Google is being zero help. :(

yes, sorry, "Minimize your journal's inclusion in search engine results" is turned on in the preferences. there are pros and cons. i'm not sure if there is another way you could go about searching for your posts more efficiently. there may be an option somewhere, im not sure. once again, sorry!
