Oh, oh, oh, you are not the only one with that exact problem. Whenever people ask me my major, I tell them Elective Management.

if you'd settled on one thing for sure, it usually would mean you missed finding out about the other things you want to do. This is the age of reinvention; most people now go through a sizable number of careers before they call it quits. Fuck, retirement becomes a career in and of itself.

I find that the creativity re-presents itself when there's one path that really sticks out for you to be on. When too much is undecided and your mind's on the deciding, the deciding's on your mind and other things can't make it through the fog of (brain/time/life) war. Or something like, when you life is in a period of upheaval the old modes of creativity begin to stop fitting in--with the side effect that until the new mode(s) arise(s) there is a relative paucity of activity that gets recognized as creative expression.

I dunno, I guess I'm just trying to explain my own travails. You're certainly not the only one with this problem.
