I just wanted to chime in on the rape kit...Factcheck.org has a an overview of that shows that it's not really known that she supported it. The police chief at the time did, but it was never really shown that she openly supported it...albiet nothing really shows that she was against it but thats still a far cry for her definitely supporting it.
I'm voting McCain Palin because she shot a machine gun, and she also ran a marathon, and thats good enough for me ;-)

oh, and one thing i am SO tired of in this election?

both sides are clamoring to appeal to "real" americans. disparaging those who might be considered "elitists".

and, well, hmm. i'm an arugula-eating, latte-drinking, tote-bag-carrying, npr-listening, red-wine-drinking academic. gosh! i guess that must mean i'm not a real american! i guess i should just move to europe where all the other pansy elitists are!
