I'm sorry things didn't work out with the bf...or who knows, he could get his head screwed on straight and come back. Stranger things have happened.
That said, I firmly believe everyone should live alone for a little while. I've never had a roommate -- it's either been me and a guy, or just me by myself. And those times I was by myself really helped me to learn more about who I was, what I wanted from myself, what sorts of things made me happy when I didn't have anyone else around to distract me.
It might feel weird at first. But I think eventually you'll find it to be an empowering experience.
(And Erik and I still think that guys your age are TSTL and that you should be looking for someone just a little bit older. No kids, though -- stepkids are a nightmare. An ex-wife doesn't have to be instant reject for a dating prospect, as some ex-wives are pretty low maintenance. I know I was.) ;-)
I'm really excited to live on my own. I think it's been a long time in coming, and something I put off because of work or financial...but it's time to do it. I am still a little scared, since I've just never *been* on my own before. But I'll get by.
Also really looking forward to decorating. ;)
This particular guy 32 in December, so ... he is a little bit older. ;) Part of me wants to believe that he might come back, but I can't really move on that way, so to the wolves I must throw him. He's a good guy. Just has a screwed-up noggin. Onward and upward, I guess!
