Stood in line for two hours at the Fulton County government center on Pryor. Got there at 11:30, left at 1:30. The line was down to about an hour and change by then. Should have eaten lunch first. Now I'm eating at my desk. Mmmmmmmm.... Quiznos.

vote, election

I'm considering my self lucky. Husband and I voted a couple of weeks ago, and it took about 20 minutes. I am SO GLAD to have it over with, and that we beat the long lines. And soooo ready for Tuesday to be over with!

I thought about it a couple of weeks ago, but I hadn't seen anything on the smaller races yet. I don't plan on being in court or jail anytime soon, but those races have a direct impact on lots of people right here.

It's really too bad that every state manages its own early voting, if it has early voting. In Austin, I voted at a local grocery store and was in and out in under 10 minutes. The lines I'm sure are longer during lunch hours (I went *right* after work), but, still. No "government center," at least.

A grocery store? That's kind of ... weird.

Two hours was my limit. People are waiting up to six hours in the burbs. That's just crazy.
