Thank You!! I appreciate especially the lesson on linking. I am assuming the "rich text" is the toolbar on top of the posting area. If you mean something different, please explain( in simple words if that seems appropriate, ;). Thank you for the link to Live Writer as well. I will download it and see if it helps.
If you don't feel up to a full day, you might call up and bargain for 4 hrs of your day.... I at one point or another in my radiation treatments needed to do the same. If you are in any doubts whether you can make it through a full day, err on the side of rest. This 'wot ye 'ave is no picnic. Let me know if you need anything.
HP Image-- I don't recall seeing that in tools-- I guess I need to open it back up and take a poke at it. Sporangia has said she might load a simple version of Photoshop, and that sounds like it might be what I ultimately want to do.

I put text on my photos in photoshop, but I assume that it can be done in word somewhere. Momcat confirms that text can be added via word but she doesn't advise doing it that way. She says photoshop is easier. This is the reason I'm trying to strong arm Vala into learning photoshop so she can colorize her art and add text.

Learning photoshop is not intuitive, and it takes awhile. I can load a very simple version of it on your computer if you want to take the plunge. It has a very steep learning curve, but the stuff you can do with it is very cool.

You probably have some imaging software on your computer already, either as part of the camera software package or part of your scanner package. I would investigate that and see if you can add text with it.

I would be grateful for that copy of Photoshop, if you would. I've heard you speak of how difficult it is, I do not expect to be doing anything as complex as you have need to do, but I could see me attempting icon making for my own amusement.

Sporangia's right in that PhotoShop has LOTS of stuff in it and it learning all of it can take awhile... I had a copy for a couple of YEARS and didn't really start learning all you could do with it till I went back to school ... HOWEVER, adding text is one of the simpler things you can do with it, so don't panic!! You saw some of the stuff it can do last time we all went to NC (and might again if we all get to go this time!).

I haven't tried to do a vid link yet. If I can find the vids I will attempt a link.

There is a good chance your HP can add text to pictures. And it's probably not all that different from a lite version of photoshop.
