My first entry was a bit limited to say the least, partly due to my feeling reticent about writing about myself and partly because of the lack of time in my scedule. Hi Eithne. I love listening to music really loud in the car too! Do you sing along out loud? I sing my lungs out. It's therapeutic. Sometimes the other drivers are looking at me and laughing. But I don't mind. I won't see them again so it's not embarrassing. Also, it puts a smile on someones face. You are an incredibly busy woman! Since he was tiny, I've worked as a parent volunteer in my boy's classroom. What a joy those children are, even the difficult ones :-). I've considered applying overseas when it comes time to transfer. I think it would be fantastic for our son to live in another country for part of his childhood. Ireland is high on the list for us as a place to live, I've heard it's a wonderful place for children. I would love to pick your brain on this subject in the future.
Los Angeles is a beautiful place, but I worry about the money/fame based culture and it's effect on our son's values. It's hard for me to not get sucked up in it sometimes and I'm an adult. I've paid close attention to the native Los Angeleans and for the most part they seem like they're pretty grounded, so it can be done.
