Writing is pretty much my only consolation.
So, I am a dirty liar, as I always am when I talk about my fandom committments. So, I have no idea if I'm back or not. I've spent most of the last four months looking of work, any kind of work, and finding...nothing. Lemme tell you, this economy is just great, guys. Fantastic. But I did just get another part-time, minimum-wage job, and as thankless and dispiriting as it is to work at a place I literally could have worked at during high school, it's a job, so at least I can stop worrying about my car payment and spending all my time handing out my resume and going on long, dull interviews that never actually go anywhere.
But rather like high school, part-time work lends itself exceedingly well to writing. I've got some stuff I posted on norsekink, the thor kink meme (although I sort of feel these things should just be called anon memes, half the stuff is g-rated), and I recently wrote a Toph character study in preparation of some Avatar fic that will feature her as a main character. I'm re-reading Bloodlines so I can get back to writing my clone!fic (I have nearly 20 pages of outlining for that story, damn right I'm going to finish it), and I have read a few new good stories I plan to rec. So, now that I'm promised that, expect some new posts in the next week, since as the above title states, writing really is my only consolation in this time of disappointment.
