hi this is arin, i am glad that you are planning for ucla. i was in class of 04 (biochem), so if you need any consultation about what course to take or how to get in to ucla, let me know. be proud of being a simple person, i think he means that your outside and inside is identical, you are not a shrewed person and you are easy to get along (i hope , just kiddin'). one more thing, why do you say that your parents are armenian and why don't you say you are armenian? are you ashamed of calling yourself armenian?(just curious).anyways, good luck.

My thoughts are with you and your boyfriend. My brother just returned, and he is fine. While he was away his wife and 4 kids managed to hold things together. So I'm optimistic you'll be fine.
If anything, your family sounds wonderfully supportive. That is precious.
Your choice of major is both admirable and demanding. Have you done any volunteer work in a hospital? or have you thumbed through an MCAT study guide? Both experiences are important to have and this point in your career.
