You're far too amazing for any sort of livejournal comment that I could ever conjure up.
Man do I love you. We need to see more of each other, it's simple silly that we don't. &last week's Pepe's outing was fun, I'm glad to see you eventually made it back after that trecherous walk to Montlake Brdg.

Favorite book, huh? You know, that's an awefully hard question... but two of my favorite books are Norweigan Wood by Murakami, and Unbearable Lightness Of Being by Kundera.

You should tell all of us what your favorite book is.

Haha I know. I can't really answer for sure either.
Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer takes the cake so far.
But I also have a lot of books left to read.

My roommate Tyler Brown told me read Murakami, and I have heard from several people since then that this is indeed what I should do. I have not heard of the latter one! I am putting it on my list of books to read, ok?

I am glad you answered!!! :]

sometimes elena comes down into my room and gives me tips and makes my day better.
But other times I think she's just hitting on me.

Really, it's just I have to point out the more subtle jokes. That, and I'm not really that funny. That, and you're hot.

My favorite book is Herzog on Herzog. It's all about director Werner Herzog and his experiences making wonderful films. I think he's the most extraordinary person in the world.

Oh, and a short story called "One Arm" by Yasunari Kawabata. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic! I have never heard of either, so I am very excited about these books. Plus what a nice thing to say about a person [the part about him being the most extraordinary person]....you've peaked my interest. I don't know that much about film, so this might be a dumb question, but what did he direct?

That's totally not a dumb question. I probably wouldn't know about him now if it weren't for Roger Ebert. :) He's a German director, considered part of the German New Wave during the 70's. His films are simple accuracies of nonfactual lives, if that makes sense. I just made that line up, so it might not. But one of my favorite movies is "The Enigma of Kasper Hauser" which is about a 15 year old boy (who's actually played by a middle aged man, and brilliantly I might add) who in the 1800's was locked in a cellar for his entire life and then one day thrown into society with no knowledge of language, environment, or even walking. ... Sorry, I tend to rave when I talk about him. I had written more, but deleted it when I saw how long this was getting. If you want to know more about him, you can just ask, or get the book for a good read ( ... )
