So, my Latin texts from college are officially lost. Mum and I (you're meant to say me, aren't you? It looks so wrong...) are hopefully heading into the loft on Sunday to do a final check, but I already went up there a month ago and couldn't find them. Quintus and his crazy family could be anywhere by now! I am saddened, it's messing with *my plans ( Read more... )

Latin! I started getting into it this morning, and I'm a little stuck on the first declension nouns! You're somewhere with Latin, that's so much better than where I'm stuck now. :)

And congratulations on the job! I've applied to a couple myself, and I hope I'll get one job soon because I'll definitely need the help it'll bring once classes start. :D

My mum HAS NOT gone into the loft, shockingly enough. I think I'm just going to have to go out and buy (pssh, more like order online) the 2 textbooks I need and dive straight in.

I'm really not anywehere with Latin! I did about 40 minutes a week, during lunchtimes, for one year. This was 2 years ago! I only remember a few words, like mox, because they are fun to say. :)

Hee, thank-you! My induction is on Tuesday, I'm getting a bit nervous as I have no idea what to expect! My first job was in a shop called Bewise, which happens to be where Next was built after Bewise went out of business. Fun times. :) This'll be my third job, wtf that's hardly any. Where have you applied? Retail is always fun!

I need to set aside at least an hour every morning for my Latin starting this week, or I'll never get anywhere. :)

I'm not in Canada right now, but I've just been accepted for a Toronto-based promotions company's online support team. Basically, I can work anywhere and any time, and I just have to do some clerical stuff and answer customer emails. ^_^ I'm waiting for my support manual, which I hope they're smart enough to email instead of snail mail! But I will have to get a retail job (two jobs, yes) once I get back to Toronto -- you know, just to be a bit normal like the most of the students there. :D
