I am really sick of people breaking my bowls.
Unintentionally. But still.
My kids broke 3. My dad just broke the first bowl I ever got to keep.

Well, yesterday I came home and fell over and got up from my nap feeling woozy still and got what I needed to get done done, and then went back to bed. And today I feel like a human, mostly. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Of my kids that showed, they were good. Relatively quiet, attentive, willing to twist their brains around the riddles I gave them.
My homeroom is 20 7th graders. One doesn't talk. (selective mutism) But he does communicate well.
11 came in today (friday + first day of school + half day).

I'm taking a class with 80 other teachers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art this week. I am feeling quite geeky, and it's pretty awesome. From 9-3 my world was all about how we see nature in science and art. I don't even know.
So the Philly school district is in trouble. Has been, will be, etc etc. They don't really have money, they're failing their kids, they're not really getting better. If you care, this explains it pretty well. They're currently all one school district. They're going to basically gut it, pull it apart, sell the bits, and hope that works better.
