I'm determined to go to Finland in 2 1/4 years not totally niave and stupid as to the language (it's common courtesy, if you ask me, to make an attempt to speak the language in a country)... so I've purchased from Amazon.com Vocabulary Builder - Learn Finnish: for Children 4 & up... might as well start at the beginning... :-P

That's awesome. Finnish is a hard language to learn from a book though. If you need any help with pronounciation, feel free to ask me. It may not be my first language but I have spoken it since age two. Same goes if you need help with the swedish.

I'll most likely be asking your for LOTS of help... as it's a complete mystery to me... never spoken any more than a few key phrases of any nordic language (sov gott, god yule, takk su mikket, etc...), so pronunciation is going to be all but completely lost on me... hehehe... my guess is that I'll sound like an ass... :-P But at least I'm trying... :-P
