I can’t wait for the elections in Italy to be over, so that finally I won’t be bombarded with all these stupid political flyers that keep stuffing up my mailbox, plaster my windshield, and ultimately cling to my feet as I try to walk down the streets of Milan ( Read more... )

I love that feeling you get when you get home after travelling. There's nothing like your own bed, no matter how long you've been away.

Very true! Especially since everything looks so familiar but yet foreign all the same because you're not used to seeing them for so long.

I'm still waiting for your debut album to come out! ;)

12th June!! I'm in Miami at the moment filming my video for my single, Sooner or Later (rather a fitting title, huh?). That's out to download on the 22nd May, and in the shops on the 29th. Album, Future Past, out on the 12th June.

And it's all official!!! At least for now. Stay tunes for my journal for more info.

Haha I sound like a personal advertisement. And when I say I'm filming my video I really mean getting very very drunk, but that's a minor detail :)

I think I've become a complete nomad myself. My home is Glasgow really, but I haven't lived there in ages. I have a flat in London and a loft in Soho, but I don't seem to spend enough time at either to really feel home.

Perhaps it's because my emotions have been so far displaced lately that I can't focus myself enough to "find home" I don't know.

Officially speaking I'm from Venice, but I haven't considered that my home in years, seeing that I left when I was 15. Like you I have flats sparsed around the globe, but I suppose the one that I'm mostly affectionate to is the one I have in Milan.

Displaced emotions is something that I can relate to, to some extent.

I think in my heart Glasgow will always be a part of me, but there is a part of me that feels home is where you lay your hat, like the song says.

Maybe the smile has to do with that. I know mine does.

Yes, I've always felt that "home" is a place that you create, and it's not necessarily always a physical place but can be a state of mind kind of situation.

Involuntary smiles tend to speak a thousand words even when we are silent.

You're back in Italy and we still never met up for shopping and dinner. I need to fix this anti-social rip in my skirt. I'm glad you've found a nitch in DJing, though. That must be so much fun.

I know....but I'll most likely be back in the US before too long. It's a bit of a known fact that I've become a nomad of sorts. DJing is quite amusing, you get to listen to great music and be in contact with very entertaining people.
