Thinking about corsets...

I have several 18th century dresses that I need to make soonish, but my problem is that I have no 18th century corset.  I also no longer have an Elizabethan corset.  The only one I have remaining is my Victorian one

A Victorian corset, no matter what you do, just will not give you the same look. Have you considered jumps rather than a full stays?

Jumps aren't as heavily boned and will give you the correct shape. They were mainly meant for servants but no one needs to know what you are wearing under your dress.
