Today we're learning about
Penguins spread their oil all over their feathers to keep them warm and safe. They eat fish and crabs and sometimes shrimp. Poor little shrimp! They lived where it's very, very cold! You wouldn't want to live there! It snows and snows and snows! (By the way, my Granny's allergic to snow.) Penguins are birds that don't fly. They SWIM! When they come out of the water, he JUMPS high in the air for some air, then he dives back down for fish. Sometimes seals and sea lions like to eat penguins. I think I want to learn about sea lions tomorrow.
There were some pretty sneaky penguins in Madagascar. They hopped on a boat and hurt a man. They knocked him down. They liked to play when they were at the zoo, but it wasn't very cold there. I didn't know where they came from, but now I know they live on the ice.
That's all I have to say about penguins! Now lets look at some pictures of them!
I wonder why they're so fat? Ok, I know, I'll tell you... It keeps them warm!
This is a crazy picture! It's a little bit small, but you can see a mommy feeding her baby!
That one's got too much oil on it! It's SO FAT!!!! (Tori says: "It's so fat like my pocket is!")
They're all jumping off to get food!
These guys are gonna jump in the water too!
The baby is getting the throw up out of the mommy's mouth! GROSS!
I think penguins are cute and they make me happy.
